Heirloom Album

This is a special album. Its design involves meticulously trimming and hand mounting every print into its own custom matte window. The result not only protects your photographs, but also provides a three-dimensional viewing surface that guides your attention to each image. The default and recommended dimension is 12” x 12”. Printed on archival-grade paper with a subtle and pleasing lustre. Heirloom Albums are hand-made in New Zealand.

Spreads

A spread is made when an album is open and images “spread” across the two visible pages. The base Heirloom Album comes with 12 spreads (24 pages). The number of images displayed on a single spread varies between 1-10 images. Additional spreads can be added for $100/spread, up to an album maximum of 30 spreads (60 pages).

Cover

All Heirloom Albums are hardcover bound. Linen is the default option, with leather an optional upgrade. Notably, custom foil debossing of both the cover and spine are included at no extra charge. Spine debossing is something unique to Heirloom Albums. Client-provided graphic designs (decorative elements, family crest, tattoo symbol, etc.) can also be included as part of the debossing (some restrictions apply).

Image Selection

The “favorite” feature of your online gallery makes image selection a breeze. Once your order is submitted, I will create an “album” category for you to add favorites to. I will pull most, if not all, of the images in your album design from this favorite list. 

Design Process / Ordering

The album design process is collaborative. After your order is submitted I will reach out to schedule our first design consultation. This is where we will review everything from cover swatches to debossing artwork. My goal is to create an album you are absolutely in love with.
